Thank you so much for all your hard work at home with your children! We've had an amazing start to the year and I am so excited with the growth that I've seen so far! To all who were able to make it to the Christmas concert, thank you so much for your support! The class worked very hard and I know they were so thrilled to see you in the crowd! We hope you enjoyed our song!
This week has been fairly relaxed, so there are not many highlights to share but here are some things we did this week!
we 'travelled' to Germany, China and Australia to learn about Christmas customs and traditions. (If they come home singing Six White Boomers, I appologize, its VERY catchy!)
we continued to practice our reading skills and have begun to notice blends at the begining of words. Specifically, we've practiced L-blends (pl, gl, sl, bl) and S-blends (sk, sc, st, sm, sw)
we have continued to practice reading good fit books out loud to a reading partner
We created a cute cut and paste cup of cocoa
Our class really enjoyed decorating cookies on Wednesday! A big thank you to our PAC for their time and effort to do that every year for us!
All the primary classes got together on Friday and watched a movie in the gym! It was so nice for them to be able to sit with friends from other classes and enjoy some time together before the holidays!
I would like to say a big thank you to all of you for being such a support to your kids, and to me! It has been such an amazing team effort this year, and I am really grateful for the work you do at home, and the ways you support our class. It really does make a HUGE difference!

I wish you all a joyful and restful winter break!
Merry Christmas!
